Calling all sons! It's time to get in the kitchen with your mom and dad and start making some magic! Big Daddy cooks up dishes inspired by his sons Josh and Justin. First, Aaron makes the Everything but the Kitchen Sink Chicken Tenders Salad. Then, he assembles Josh's Roast Pork Sandwich with Broccoli Rabe and Provolone Cheese, and finally he bakes up some delicious, Oven Baked Seasoned Fries. When everything comes together perfectly, Aaron's youngest son, Justin, joins him and together they sit down for a Boys Night In.
First up, Tom Pizzica visits Bartolini's, an Italian restaurant in Midlothian, Ill., that challenges customers to eat a ten-pound meatball sandwich in one sitting. Then in Van Nuys, Calif., Tom tests his heat limit when he helps build the #10 at Yagumo Sushi, which combines, habaneros, cayenne, and wasabi oil to create their spiciest roll. And for a hot dog joint with unusual ingredients, Tom goes to The Slaw Dogs in Pasadena, Calif., where kimchi and mac ‘n cheese are just a few of the toppings.
A wildly diverse group of chefs from Triple D descends on Flavortown as the Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives Tournament continues! The heat is on as chefs make a hot sandwich without shopping in the meat, cheese and deli aisles. Next, they're challenged to create an out-of-this-world international dish determined by tumbling dice, and finally, they must make a pork dish with wild ingredients picked out of the claw machine. The winner goes on a shopping spree for up to $20,000 and earns a slot in the tournament finale.
