The Kitchen hosts share recipes inspired by their first jobs in food. Sunny Anderson throws it back to her drive-thru days with her Nacogdoches Cherry Limeade, while Geoffrey Zakarian channels his fry cook energy into his Bistro Steak Frites. Then, Katie Lee Biegel makes hearty Sausage, Kale and Lentil Soup, straight from her old café, Jeff Mauro shares his first step to becoming the Sandwich King with his Ultimate Steak Sandwich and Alex Guarnaschelli remakes her first customer's order -- Fish with Salsa Verde.
Guy Fieri wants everything between the bread. Chef Tiffani Faison gets cruising with a Pineapple Kush cocktail and makes a Chinese hamburger called Rou Jia Mo before piling up Peanut Butter Whipped Marshmallow Toasties. Chef Mei Lin's serves up a Fried Fish Sandwich with Yuzu Tartar Sauce and plates her Reuben Cheesy Pockets. Chef Justin Sutherland pops off some Meatball Hoagie Poppers before circling around to a Cuban Sandwich Dip. Chef Joe Sasto craves Mozzarella en Carroza and tops it off with Torta della Patate.
Jamie Deen has a special dinner-for-two date, and he can't wait to get started on this quick and healthy meal. His mom, Paula, is coming over, and Jamie is going to treat her to deliciously prepared Tilapia Foil Packets. To accompany the fish, Jamie puts together a wonderful side dish duo: Herbed Couscous With Golden Raisins and Pine Nuts, and a Green Bean Salad. To wash it all down, Paula helps Jamie make a refreshing Georgia Peach Perfection. Paula is one lucky lady!
This trip, Guy Fieri's goin' from smoky to belly with a dash of spicy! There's next-level Mexican in Sacramento, Calif., putting their twist on tacos with amped-up pork and not-your-everyday Nashville hot chicken. The-bomb BBQ joint is transporting a taste of Texas to Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., bringin' brisket to a stacked sloppy joe and off-the-chain chili. Plus, a real-deal Cambodian spot in San Jose, Calif., is servin' full-flavored fish curry and primo pork belly noodles.
Ree Drummond is staying home on the ranch and sharing great ideas for quarantine cooking. Her daughters Paige and Alex, nephew Stuart and her friend Mauricio step in as the crew to shoot the show on their phones. Ree raids the pantry to make tasty Tomato Soup 2.0 and whips up easy Homemade Mini Tortillas and Cabbage Pantry Slaw for awesome freezer-standby Fish Stick Tacos. Then she wraps things up with the cutest shortcut Strawberry Lime Mousse and a big helping of fun and outtakes.
Chefs Anne Burrell and Jeff Mauro are fresh from a wild night of partying as boot camp transforms into the Las Vegas strip, and the teams play a game where they must piece together clues to retrace the chefs' steps and locate a missing dish. After recreating the dish without a recipe, the singles learn how to make a showstopping fish dish that focuses on plating and presentation. The winning streak continues for some recruits, but the buck stops here for the ones with the worst dishes.
The remaining six recruits attempt to conquer intimidating ingredients when they visit The Meat Hook, a New York butcher shop, where they learn to make a sausage meal from scratch for their Skill Drill. Back at Boot Camp, the recruits face their seafood fears in the Main Dish Challenge. Each cook must clean and prep a squid or whole fish for an entree and make a side dish that features the recruit's least favorite ingredient. The competition narrows as two more worst cooks leave the competition.
