The Grill Dads find out that outrageous food is more fun when it's a mash-up. First, they visit The Doughnut Lounge in Kansas City, Mo., where they whip up homemade doughnuts and pair them with crispy burnt ends from in-house smoked brisket to create a sweet and savory dessert that's too unique to miss. Then the Dads visit Albuquerque, N.M., to fry up a pastry called a Sopapilla that's stuffed with spicy beef and pork ribs. Finally, the Dads travel to Denver, Colo., to make a gorgeous pizza topped with the flavors of chicken parmesan.
First up on this outrageous tour, Tom Pizzica heads to Minneapolis to hit up Burger Jones, a local favorite that challenges customers to eat a massive burger piled high with everything from grilled cheese sandwiches to chicken fried bacon. Then, he's off to deep-frying mecca, Chipshop in Brooklyn, N.Y., to fry up things like pizza and even bagels with lox. Lastly, he checks out Pizza Doctors in La Crosse, Wis., where they top pies with everything from spaghetti to breakfast cereal and even serve up sweet chocolate pizza dough covered with candy.
Guy Fieri and his friends are going sweet and savory for Halloween. Hunter Fieri knocks first with Roasted Kabocha Hummus with Spicy Pepitas, before serving up some Pork and Prosciutto with Marsala Brown Butter. Antonia Lofaso spikes her Blood Orange Punch with Spiced Rum, fries Black Squid Ink Tempura Fish and Chips, and makes some terrifyingly delicious Spooky Pizzas. Marc Murphy satisfies the crowd with Sausage and Cheese Stuffed Kabocha and sweetens the deal with Butternut Squash Kabak Tatlisi. Michael Voltaggio digs up a Roasted Vegetable "Dirt" Bowl and stuffs a Squash O'Lantern with some Dungeness Crab.
