It’s not every day that a viral TikTok food trend gets the celebrity stamp of approval, but Lizzo can’t stop raving about a new dish called “Nature’s Cereal.”

The “Good as Hell” singer, who went vegan in 2020, shared a TikTok video of herself preparing (and later enjoying) a bowl of Nature’s Cereal on March 5. The clip, which features Lizzo’s soothing narration, has already been liked nearly one million times and has been viewed by more than 5.6 million users. “🍓🥥 it’s actually really good y’all @natures_food,” she captioned the post.

“I’m trying the coconut water berry breakfast cereal,” Lizzo began calmly. “I add blueberries, strawberries, pomegranate, [and] coconut water.”

The Grammy winner then tossed in a few ice cubes, noting, “I like ice with my cereal.”

Upon taking a bite of the colorful and nutritious creation, Lizzo was instantly impressed. “Oh, it’s good,” she said.

In the days since her initial post, the Michigan native has continued to gush about one of her new favorite meals. She shared a follow-up video later in the day on March 6 and declared: “I’m addicted, y’all. It’s really so good.”

According to the songstress, the secret to this healthy meal is in its non-dairy base. “I don’t know what it is about the coconut water … but it’s like, creamy,” she explained. “And the pomegranates give you that crunch, and then the blueberries, of course. Don’t knock it ‘til you tried it.”

Not surprisingly, many TikTok users followed Lizzo’s lead and tried Nature’s Cereal for themselves. She’s even shared several duets with some of those TikTokers in an effort to continue spreading the word about this tasty treat.

However, when several users mistakenly got the idea that Lizzo actually created Nature’s Cereal, she set the record straight in another TikTok shared on March 10. “Although I did give credit to the originator of Nature’s Cereal, @natures_food, in my OG post, some of y’all hoes didn’t see that, so I want to take the moment to thank him so much for introducing me and the world to this delicious snack,” she said. “I’m so obsessed with it.”

Lizzo also addressed criticism from the “haters” that Nature’s Cereal is nothing more than an unblended smoothie. When she tossed the ingredients into a blender and transformed them into a drink, she insisted the result wasn’t quite the same. Though the smoothie was thick and creamy, Lizzo pointed out that the blended pomegranate seeds didn’t have the same effect and noted that the drink was lacking flavor.

Will you give Nature’s Cereal a try?
