While we love the cult-favorite chain for innumerable reasons (and fully believe it has made our lives better), there’s one section in Trader Joe’s we believe deserves more attention: the freezer aisle. We head that way for everything from breakfast to dessert! Take a peek inside our freezers to see what we consider staple items.

Whenever I don't know what to make for dinner, I look to my freezer! The BBQ teriyaki chicken is so easy to make, and it's so tasty over a bowl of rice or a bed of vegetables — you would never think you're eating frozen food.

Acai Smoothie Bowl

Whether I'm making an acai bowl topped with granola and fruit over the weekend or quickly sipping a smoothie before work, I always make sure to add one of Trader Joe's acai puree packets to the blender. They produce creamy smoothies and bowls that are packed full of flavor and (when mixed with frozen blueberries and bananas, a scoop of peanut butter, and almond milk) are the perfect breakfast to keep me full all morning.

For $4.99, Trader Joe’s offers two heavily seasoned steak burritos that are perfect for a quick lunch or punched-up with a side of rice and beans for dinner. While the packaging recommends using a microwave or convection oven, try using the air fryer for a crispy tortilla filled with perfectly seasoned meat.

Vegetable Masala Burger

I'm not a big frozen foods person, but Trader Joe's Vegetable Masala Burger is a staple for me. These veggie patties are perfectly seasoned — so much so that I actually don't even eat them with burger buns! Whenever I'm in need of a quick, delicious and budget-friendly meal, I just take one of these out of the freezer and pan-fry on each side for a few minutes until there's a nice char. Then, I spread some pepper jelly over the patty, cut into it and enjoy like it's a vegetarian-friendly meat. The flavors together just sing! Usually, I'll have a salad or roasted vegetables as a side, and I feel like I've had a complete, satisfying meal with minimal effort.

This might not technically count, BUT I always keep the Dark Chocolate Sunflower Seed Butter Cups from Trader Joe's stashed in my freezer! The sunflower seed butter is perfectly sweet, salty and creamy on the inside, and the rich dark chocolate on the outside gets that crisp crunch when frozen. I look forward to one after dinner — or even as a midday pick-me-up! Bonus: They're free of gluten, dairy, soy and tree nuts.

Pork and Chicken Gyoza

The pork and chicken gyoza are a lunchtime freezer staple in my house. They're great pan-fried and steamed as the directions describe, but most of the time I just drop them in some boiling water, which is even faster — they're done in just a few minutes. And they pair well with any number of sauces I've got around — some soy sauce and vinegar, a little chili crisp, sriracha, you name it.
