Ingredients

4 cups low-sodium tomato juice

1 clove garlic, grated on a rasp grater

2 tablespoons finely chopped fresh dill, optional

1 teaspoon seafood seasoning, such as Old Bay

1 teaspoon celery seeds

2 tablespoons hot sauce, plus more if needed

2 tablespoons prepared horseradish, plus more if needed

2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce

1 teaspoon balsamic vinegar

Juice of 2 lemons

Freshly cracked black pepper

4 ounces bourbon

Ice, for serving

Beef jerky, for garnish

Directions

  1. In a pitcher, mix together the tomato juice, garlic, dill if using, seafood seasoning, celery seeds, hot sauce, horseradish, balsamic, lemon juice and some pepper. Taste for seasoning, adding more hot sauce or horseradish if preferred.
  2. Fill 2 glasses with ice and divide the liquid between them. Add 2 ounces of the bourbon to each glass. Garnish with beef jerky.
