Peanut Butter-Banana Semifreddo
Chunky or smooth, peanut butter seems to be your favorite way to get a peanut fix. Our April 2010 recipe contest drew in hundreds of peanut-butter pairings: peanut butter and chocolate, peanut butter and jelly, and our champion, peanut butter and banana—in the form of this semifreddo from Megan Farquharson of Meriden, CT. Megan turned her favorite sandwich into the ice cream-like treat by freezing a peanut butter-swirled banana custard in a peanut crust. The best part, she says: "You don't need an ice cream maker!"
