1 tablespoon kosher salt, to rim the glasses

1/2 teaspoon ancho chili powder

1/2 lime, juiced

2 tablespoons tomato juice

Hot sauce

1 bottle pale ale beer, chilled


  1. Mix the salt and chili powder together in a small dish. Rub the rim of the glass with some lime juice and then dip the rim in the salt mixture. Add the lime juice, tomato juice and a splash of hot sauce to a cocktail shaker. Add some ice cubes and the cold beer. Shake well and serve.
