Coffee-and-Doughnuts Float

2 tablespoons store-bought chocolate sauce

1/4 teaspoon instant espresso powder

1 cup coffee ice cream (about 3 large scoops)

3/4 cup coffee soda, such as Manhattan Special, or cream soda

Sweetened whipped cream, for topping

2 mini doughnuts


  1. Whisk the chocolate sauce and instant espresso powder together in a small bowl until combined.
  2. Scoop the coffee ice cream into a tall glass and drizzle with the espresso-chocolate syrup. Pour the coffee soda over the ice cream and top with a spoonful of whipped cream. Add a straw and thread through the doughnuts, which can rest right on the top of the glass. Serve.
