Directions
Pour 1 liter ginger ale into a 9-by-13-inch baking dish. Freeze overnight. Bring 4 cups water, 1/2 cup sugar and 1 bunch mint to a boil in a saucepan, stirring to dissolve the sugar. Let cool 2 minutes, then add 3 black tea bags and let cool. Strain the tea into a pitcher and add 1 1/2 cups bourbon. Scrape the ginger ale ice with a fork and divide among 8 short glasses. Pour in the drink and garnish with mint.
Cook’s Note
For a mocktail version, simply leave out the alcohol. It tastes great as a regular iced tea drink.
