Get Fresh…with Watermelon!

The long days of summer have us craving one thing…WATERMELON! What is summer without this delicious juicy fruit? Here at The Kitchen we've come up with a chocolatey new way to enjoy summer's must-have melon.

Episode: Poolside Party

We've given watermelon a new spin by dipping it in chocolate. Cut the watermelon into small sticks, leaving the rind at the base of each stick. Lay the sticks on a baking sheet lined with paper towel to wick away excess moisture; we're dipping these in luscious chocolate, and chocolate won't stick to melon that is too wet. While the sticks are resting, melt dark or semisweet chocolate in a double boiler or microwave. Now all you need to do is dip the tip of each piece in the melted chocolate, then lay it on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Top with a sprinkle of chopped pistachios for a salty crunchy bite. Once the chocolate is set, enjoy!
