Please add the following to your list of “Ways Chrissy Teigen Is Perfect:” She has discovered the secret to easy-to-peel eggs. And she wasn’t even really trying.

In a video posted on her Instagram, the model, cookbook author and generally enviable human shared tips for making her “world-famous night eggs.”

Night eggs? Yeah, those would be the hard-boiled eggs Chrissy enjoys at night, before she hits the sack.

“I can’t sleep without being overly full. I take two hard-boiled eggs to bed every night and eat them when I randomly wake up,” she wrote in a tweet referenced in the video. “It used to be beef jerky but I’d wake up too puffy.”

Then again, it’s not always eggs that help Chrissy through the night.

She goes upstairs with “sometimes very different things,” she shares. “Sometimes they’re my night eggs and sometimes it’s a turkey roll-up [and] sometimes it’s a zhuzhed up bowl of ramen.”

So basically, it’s a protein thing. And after she has her in-bed snack, she pretty much passes out.

But back to the night eggs. Chrissy shows viewers how she boils, peels, slices and seasons her eggs, noting that they can be enjoyed on either a paper towel or a plate, as you prefer.

And when it comes to peeling, Chrissy reveals she does “the slam and roll technique,” zeroing in on these tips: “Slam (not too hard) and roll to break up the shell.” And “add apple cider vinegar and baking soda” – just about a couple of teaspoons – “to the water for maximum egg peeling ease.”

In a caption to the video, Chrissy notes that she happened upon the secret to perfectly peeled eggs totally by accident while making the video to share what she quips is the “very difficult recipe” for her night eggs.

“We made this [video] as a joke then I got kind of drunk and threw in an unmeasured amount of baking soda and apple cider vinegar into the boiling water,” she writes. “It ended up being the easiest peeling egg I’ve ever done. For the record, I would have undercooked them more and I DEFINITELY would have worn a different bra.”

That honesty, humility and humor? Yeah, you can add those to your “Ways Chrissy Teigen Is Perfect” list, too.
