It’s late at night, you’re suddenly starving, and there’s pretty much nothing in the fridge or pantry. What do you eat? Cardi B has a suggestion.

Maybe try … Doritos and barbecue sauce?

“Oh my gah, so let me tell you something. I’m dumb hungry, right?” The “I Like It” rapper says in a video recently posted to her Twitter page. “And there’s nothing to eat but candy and Doritos.”

“I really don’t like to eat chips mad dry, but I don’t have no dip. So I put some barbecue sauce,” she shares, holding a paper plate with a handful of chips and a blob of sauce up to the camera.

“Yo, I think I did something, bro. I really did something … If you’ve got this [stuff] in your house, try it. I really did something,” she marvels.

And here Cardi B (who, by the way, just became the first female rapper with three RIAA-certified diamond records) takes a bite of her combo and chews, chews, chews.

“This [stuff] is really good. I’m not even lying,” she exclaims.

After she demurely holds a manicured hand up to her mouth and chews some more, she declares, “[Stuff] is dumb good. Y’all gonna love it. Try it and tell me.”

And? Well, her fans had mixed reactions.

There were those in favor:

“Yess I use to do that in high school ! It’s real good,” one commenter shared.

“IM NOT THE ONLY WHO DOES THIS?!?!” another exclaimed.

And those more skeptical:

“doritos with barbecue sauce?!?!?!!?” wrote one.

But even as Cardi B is apt to give food-related advice on Twitter, she’s also willing to seek it.

“I want to go vegan but I love meat.. are vegan meat replacements similar to meat in taste or not really?” the rapper, whose new dairy-free boozy whipped cream has started to ship, tweeted earlier this week.

As you may have predicted, her 20.4 million followers had a lot of suggestions. And Cardi B explained in a follow-up tweet that she was contemplating the dietary change due to the lingering digestive effects of a stomach virus.

The Ultimate Packable Picnic

Practically any food eaten outdoors in the company of another could qualify as a picnic — "A jug of wine, a loaf of bread and Thou" being among the simplest and best menus still in use more than a thousand years after a poet first suggested it.
