Before you fire up the grill for dinner, double check that model number. Over 12,000 Cuisinart gas grills have been recalled.

What product is being recalled?

As per a release from the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, the Cuisinart Propel+ Four Burner 3-in-1 Gas Grill has been recalled due to a tempered glass hazard. According to the announcement, "The tempered glass window in the pizza oven can shatter during use, posing a risk of serious injury from laceration hazard."

The grill, which includes a stove-top burner and pizza oven and has the model number CGG-6331, shouldn't be used whatsoever.

According to the "remedy" directions listed in the release, anyone with the grill should "safely remove the tempered glass window on the pizza oven and upload two photographs to the firm’s website; one of the removed glass, and one of the grill’s serial number."

After verification, you'll receive a refund check for $500. Upon receiving the refund check, the glass itself should be disposed of with the word "recall" clearly and legibly written on it.

How many grills have been impacted?

Over 12,000 units were recalled in the U.S., and just under 100 were recalled in Canada.

Has anyone been injured?

Thus far, there have been over 35 reports of shattered glass, along with one fire —though no injuries have been reported as of this publication. The product itself was sold at Lowes, Walmart and through cuisinart.com from December 2024 until May of this year throughout both the U.S. and Canada.

Who should you contact with questions?

You can contact Cuisinart at 833-408-0463 with any questions.
