TikTok has been abuzz with all things Dubai chocolate for about a year now. What started as a fascination with colorful-but-pricey chocolate bars filled with pistachios and knafeh (shredded phyllo dough), has now found its way into all corners of the food world, with everyone from Trader Joe’s and Shake Shack to cookie chains and cocktail bars. And now, Dubai chocolate is entering the breakfast arena.
IHOP revealed it’s launching new limited-edition pancake options.
The chain is revealing these new pancakes in a big way, too: Launching on Monday, August 4 at noon in just three cities – New York City, Los Angeles and Austin, the first 25 people at each location will get to try the Luxe Dubai Chocolate Pancakes (an over $100 value) for free. For those that can’t get their hands on the luxe version, its original Dubai Chocolate Pancakes will be available for $13, while supplies last.
So what makes IHOP’S pancakes luxe? This super-limited version of its Dubai chocolate pancake is made with handmade Madagascar Vanilla whipped cream, an entire Dubai chocolate bar, edible 24K gold flakes and gold glitter, on top of Dubai chocolate-flavored buttermilk pancakes.

As for IHOP’s Original Dubai Chocolate Pancakes, you might miss the glint of gold, but you’ll get all the flavors of the viral treat – crunchy roasted Kataifi, pistachio cream and hazelnut spread layered between buttermilk pancakes and topped with chocolate curls and crushed pistachios.
“Earlier this year, an IHOP restaurant team member crafted a pancake version of the infamous Dubai Chocolate bar, sparking social buzz and excitement and garnering viral fame on TikTok,” said Chef Art Carl, Vice President of Culinary at IHOP, in a press statement. “Our culinary, marketing, and social teams are consistently listening to social and trends and immediately noticed that guests were craving something more, so we took it up a notch in the test kitchen to deliver an exciting new stack. Inspired by Dubai’s iconic decadence and served with IHOP’s world-famous comfort, this isn’t just a pancake – it’s a passport to flavor for our guests stateside.”
Unfortunately, only a few lucky people are going to get an opportunity to try these limited-time pancakes as they are only available at one location in three markets. In New York City, you can grab them at 235-237 E. 14th St. In Los Angeles, they’ll be found at 913 N San Fernando Blvd. in Burbank, and in Austin, grab your Dubai Chocolate Pancakes at 707 E Cesar Chavez Street.
