One of my favorite weekly activities is checking Crumbl's Instagram to see its new flavors. For the longest time, I was a fan of the pink sugar cookie, but I'm currently on the hunt for a new favorite.

When I was scrolling on Sunday, I saw in the weekly drop that the chain was planning to release a Dubai-style chocolate sandwich cookie — I know, my mouth is also watering. As soon as I saw the news, I zoomed over to my closest Crumbl and picked up a box with several of the new treats to try. Spoiler alert: It's scrumptious.

What is Crumbl’s Dubai-style chocolate sandwich cookie?

As the name suggests, the new item is inspired by the endlessly popular trend. It consists of two thin chocolate cookies stuffed with a creamy pistachio and kataifi filling. Oh, and there's a chocolate and pistachio drizzle on top of the cookies, if the rich filling wasn't enough. It's definitely a sugar rush.

My honest thoughts on Crumbl’s Dubai-style chocolate sandwich cookie:

Let me start by saying I've yet to have a Dubai-style treat I don't like. This one was no exception. The pistachio and kataifi filling was hearty — definitely more kataifi-heavy (at least in mine). The chocolate cookies were pretty thin, soft and chewy and paired well with the creamy filling. The chocolate drizzle on the cookies was a much-needed touch, as the filling lacked the chocolate taste that pairs so well with the pistachio and kataifi combo.

Unlike Crumbl's other cookies, which are pillowy and cakey, this one is definitely more thin and chewy. I actually prefer this and thought it was needed, given the richness of the filling.

I'll admit, I did eat an entire one of these by myself. However, it can (and probably should) be shared with another person. It's quite large and decadent, so you can enjoy a few bites and then save it for later when the sweet cravings strike again.

When can you get Crumbl’s Dubai-style chocolate cookie sandwich?

The Dubai-style chocolate sandwich cookie is only available until April 11. It’s on this week’s rotating menu alongside the blueberry muffin cookie, Snickers peanut butter cookie and raspberry lemonade, at shops across the United States.

The Dubai-style cookie priced higher than the others at $6.48. You can buy it in stores or order it for delivery straight to your doorstep.

There's no word on whether this one will come back into the rotation, so you'll want to try it before it's gone — and rate it in your cookie journal, of course.
