It feels like there’s a way to add protein to anything these days. From your morning coffee to desserts, you can get a boost from all sorts of unexpected sources — including from a snack that, until now, was pretty much just a vehicle for butter.
Khloud, Khloé Kardashian’s snack brand, debuted three flavors of protein popcorn in the spring: Olive Oil and Sea Salt, Sweet and Salty Kettle Corn, and White Cheddar. Now, the brand is releasing a sweet-and-spiced flavor in time for the cozy holiday season: Cinnamon Roll.
What is Khloud Cinnamon Roll?
Khloud Cinnamon Roll is the latest iteration of Khloé Kardashian’s protein-boosted popcorn. The extra protein is derived from milk. Each serving contains seven grams of protein, compared to two or three grams in your average popcorn.
The amount of protein you might need in your diet can vary widely. The Institute of Medicine recommends that adults eat 50 to 175 grams of protein per day (based on 2,000 calories), depending on a number of factors including body weight, age and activity level. And, of course, where you get your protein from matters, too.

How does Khloud Cinnamon Roll taste?
The new popcorn tastes sweet with a bit of a hard kettle corn crunch. Underneath the cinnamon coating, it has a similar powdery texture to the other three flavors. The cinnamon sits on top and adds a touch of earthy bitterness, like the dusting on a latte. It’s just salty enough to keep you going back for more.
I think it’s missing the buttery, yeasty flavor and gooey sweetness of a true cinnamon roll, but the touch of sugar and spice is still welcome. I wouldn’t reach for this bag first if I were choosing a snack, but I would eat a whole bowl if it were in front of me — which I did, while writing this, trying to put my finger on exactly what it tasted like.
Honestly, I’d sneak a bag of Khloud into a movie theater and forget that it’s a functional snack. But personally, I’d bring the Olive Oil flavor over Cinnamon Roll.
