Where were you when you first heard of the Cosmo? For many of us, we were sitting in front of our television, watching them get ordered by Carrie and her best friends on Sex and the City. Those moments of them sitting around the table at a bar or restaurant became so iconic, it’s truly difficult to ever again enjoy a Cosmo without thinking of Carrie. And now, we don’t have to!
Sarah Jessica Parker has just launched The Perfect Cosmo (and we feel like she’d know better than most people). Thomas Ashbourne Craft Spirits, of which Sarah Jessica Parker is a founding partner, makes craft cocktails in bottles and cans. That includes, of course, The Perfect Cosmo by SJP, which is now available nationwide.
SJP announced the news via a cute and very Carrie-like video on her personal Instagram.
The Perfect Cosmo is a mix of cranberry, freshly squeezed lime, vodka and triple sec, with a touch of strawberry. It’s a modern take on the traditional Cosmo, but it’s one that works. The cocktail has already been awarded Double Gold from the 2022 San Francisco World Spirits Competition.
As summer is quickly approaching, and ready-to-drink canned cocktails have been the rage for some time, it appears the time is ripe for the Cosmo to have its moment – and who better than Carrie Bradshaw herself to make it happen?
