It's officially awards season; and now that the Golden Globes have come and gone, we're on to the main event — the Oscars. It's the Party of the Year for Hollywood stars and film buffs, and we think it's the perfect excuse to throw a soiree at your own home. With a few key decorations, snacks and, of course, goodie bags, your guests will hope you host for years to come.

The Oscars air on Sunday, February 9, so check out your guide to throwing the best party from food to decor. We promise it'll be a night to remember!

Set the Scene from the Start

Everyone knows that a good movie starts with the perfect setup — just like a great party. Invest in a red carpet, balloons and some good lighting so your guests can really feel like they're making an entrance.

Build Your Own Concession Stand

There's nothing like candy and popcorn at the movies, so create your very own setup at home. Some boxes of iconic candy, a popcorn machine and festive popcorn buckets really make it feel like a night at the movies. Plus, it's an easy way for you to enjoy more time with guests and less time in the kitchen.

Go for the Gold (Decor, That Is)

You don't need to break out fine China for this party. Instead, opt for festive cutlery and plates in gold colors. It's a nod to the awards show without all the cleanup.

Don't Forget About Finger Foods

Of course, no party would be complete without the food. Go all out with fanciful finger foods that are easy to serve to a crowd. We love cocktail meatballs, dips and bruschetta. And, if you have one, enlist the help of your air fryer or Instant Pot to make cooking everything at the same time a breeze.

Bring a Piece of the Show to the Party

Stock your at-home bar with everything the stars will be drinking at the main event. Francis Ford Coppola Winery, named after the award-winning director, is supplying the wine served at this year's Academy Awards and it's available for purchase now while supplies lasts.

Send Guests Home with Goodie Bags

Celebrities are gifted serious swag at awards shows, so why not do the same for your guests? Build a small gift bag complete with some funny and sweet items for a great end to the night.
