This is a tequila cocktail I created for my Cinco de Mayo party a few years back. The key is a splash of Ramazatti amaro, an Italian bitter spirit with notes of orange and spice that work really well with tequila.

  1. In the bottom of a shaker, muddle the strawberry in the simple syrup. Add the tequila, amaro, and lemon juice and shake with ice. Strain twice through a fine-mesh sieve into a martini glass and top with the sparkling rosé. Garnish with the lemon twist.
