It’s remarkable how just a few humble ingredients can take a basic sheet of matzo — an essential part of the Passover table — and transform it into a sweet treat. With just a smear of butter, a sprinkle of sugar and cinnamon and some high heat, matzo easily becomes a lot more fun…and a lot more delicious.
Stir together 1/2 cup sugar and 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon. Generously spread softened butter on 2 matzo sheets, then completely cover with the cinnamon sugar; arrange on a baking sheet. Broil until the sugar melts and begins to bubble. Let cool slightly.
