Homemade Seed Butter Blend

  1. Pulse the pumpkin and sunflower seeds in a food processor until finely ground but still dry, about 30 seconds. Add the honey and chia seeds if using and process to incorporate. With the machine running, stream in 1 tablespoon of water at a time, allowing it to incorporate thoroughly after each addition, until the mixture resembles a thick paste much like peanut butter; add about 2 tablespoons of water total if not including the chia, 3 tablespoons if including the chia. Scrape down the sides of the bowl and continue to process until the desired texture is reached.
  2. Store in an airtight container. Serve on toast or with apple slices.
