How To Make the Perfect Spritz
Few cocktails feel as instantly festive as a spritz. Built around a simple formula of something bubbly, something flavorful and lots of ice, spritz cocktails are beloved for their refreshing taste and easygoing nature. Originating in northern Italy’s aperitif culture, the spritz has evolved far beyond the classic Aperol version into a whole world of fruit-forward, wine-based beverages.
That being said, the Aperol Spritz is the gold standard for a reason. Bright, bittersweet Aperol meets crisp prosecco and sparkling water for a refreshing cocktail that pairs well with olives and cheese. A fresh orange slice brings out the citrus aromas of Aperol to evoke sunny summer days in the Mediterranean.
