1 1/2 cups ground coffee

1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice 

Zest of 1/2 orange, cut into thick strips 


Special equipment:
a drip coffee maker
  1. Add the ground coffee and pumpkin pie spice to the coffee filter of a drip coffee maker. Add 6 cups of water to the machine. Add the strips of orange zest to the empty carafe.
  2. Brew according to the manufacturer's instructions. The orange zest should stay in the carafe as the cups are filled.

Cook’s Note

I like a strong cup of coffee, but feel free to use more or less ground coffee to make it stronger or milder.
