Umami Elixir Cocktail

4 ounces vodka, infused overnight with garlic cloves (12 peeled, whole cloves per 750 ml of vodka)

Dash of vermouth

4 to 6 drops truffle oil


Filleted anchovies


  1. Pour garlic-infused vodka and vermouth in a shaker with ice, top with the truffle oil and shake vigorously. Pour into small Up glasses (or a Manhattan glass), and garnish with an anchovy fillet that's been rolled into a rosette and speared with a cocktail pick. Keep a mint on hand if you're planning to make out with anyone later.
