Marbled Star Cookies

What you'll need:

  • Blue food coloring
  • White royal icing
  • Toothpicks
  • Star-shaped sugar cookies

How to:

  1. Add a few drops of blue food coloring to a bowl of royal icing.
  2. Swirl in the food coloring with a toothpick.
  3. Dip the top of a sugar cookie in the icing.
  4. Rotate your hand to create a swirl effect.
  5. Let the excess drip off into the bowl.
  6. Place on a rack to dry and harden.
  7. Repeat the dipping process with the next cookie, adding a few more drops of coloring after every few cookies.

Snowflake Gingerbread Cookies

What you'll need:

  • Snowflake stencils
  • Round gingerbread cookies
  • Confectioners' sugar

How to:

  1. Lay a snowflake stencil on top of a gingerbread cookie.
  2. Sift confectioners' sugar over the cookie.
  3. Remove the stencil.
  4. Repeat with the remaining cookies.

Down the Chimney Cookie Stacks

What you'll need:

  • Red licorice
  • Melted white chocolate
  • Large black jelly beans
  • Chocolate-covered graham cookies
  • White frosting
  • Red frosting

How to:

Santa Leg Decorations:

  1. Cut the licorice pieces in half.
  2. Dip one end of a piece of licorice in the melted white chocolate.
  3. Add a black jelly bean to the end of the licorice on top of the white chocolate.
  4. Repeat to make a pair of Santa legs.
  5. Repeat with the remaining licorice pieces, melted chocolate and jelly beans.

Cookie Stack Chimney:

  1. Stack 4 to 5 chocolate-covered graham cookies with white frosting in between each layer.
  2. Spread red frosting on top of the chimney stack.
  3. Attach a pair of Santa legs to the cookie stack licorice-side down (jelly bean-side up).
  4. Repeat with the remaining ingredients.
