A Cult-Favorite Brand Dropped the Holiday Baking Shortcut You Need This Year

Bonne Maman is known for its fruit preserves, packaged in jars with gingham lids and labels that look lettered by hand, and for its annual cult-favorite advent calendars. Last year, just ahead of the holiday baking season, the brand branched out into pie fillings, introducing three flavors to help with the dessert prep work: apple, blueberry and cherry. All three came in 21.1-ounce jars (yes, with those fetching tops) and were notable for their lack of additives, artificial colors, preservatives and high-fructose corn syrup.
Now, ahead of this year’s holiday baking season, the beloved brand is expanding its pie filling line with two new flavors that aim, Bonne Maman says in a press release, “to bring the taste of homemade tradition straight to kitchens nationwide.”
What are Bonne Maman’s new pie filling flavors?
Pumpkin and Four Fruits pie fillings are joining the Bonne Maman baking lineup. Both new flavors, like their predecessors, come in the brand’s signature 21.1-ounce glass jars and are free of preservatives, additives, artificial colors and high-fructose corn syrup. They’re designed for convenience — “the perfect shortcut to homemade flavor,” according to Bonne Maman.
How do you use Bonne Maman’s pie fillings?
Both are easy to use, but one requires an extra step. Four Fruits — featuring a mixture of strawberries, raspberries, cherries and red currants — is ready to pour and bake, right from the jar. Pumpkin, meanwhile, is meant to be mixed with eggs and evaporated milk before baking.
“Made from traditional Dickinson pumpkins and a rich blend of traditional pie spices, Bonne Maman Pumpkin Pie Filling with Sugar and Spices is the perfect choice for bringing delicious fall flavors to the next level,” the brand says.
