It would be difficult to think of a cozier feeling during the holidays than waking up on a cold morning to the smell of fresh cinnamon rolls coming from the kitchen. This year, however, that enticing scent may not be coming from a treat you can eat, but rather something special hidden for you until late December or awaiting you under the Christmas tree.

Cinnabon is releasing its first ever Cinnabon Scented Wrapping Paper, and it smells like (what else?) cinnamon rolls. But don’t expect the look of this wrapping paper to echo the golden-brown dough or glistening white icing of Cinnabon’s Classic Cinnamon Roll. The wrapping paper leans a decidedly more colorful direction with “Cinnabon teal” and “Cinnabon pink,” both featuring subtle patterns of tiny candy canes and snowflakes, plus some Cinnabon-themed icons like swirled baubles, Santa and a reindeer with cinnamon roll eyes. I received a sample of the wrapping paper, and the smell is evocative of passing a Cinnabon shop in the mall, but also that distinct spicy cinnamon smell you find in candies and scented candles.

“The holiday season is all about celebrating traditions while also creating new memories, and Cinnabon has been a part of those cherished moments for 40 years now, Urvi Patel, Chief Brand Officer at Cinnabon, said. The scent of our cinnamon rolls is a powerful source of nostalgia, synonymous with mall culture. This year, we wanted to take that iconic and beloved scent and roll it directly into the magic of gift-giving — allowing fans to unbox the wow, making Cinnabon a cultural touchstone not just in taste, but in the entire sensory experience of the holidays.”

So, how do you score some of this sweet-smelling holiday swag? Just head to swag.cinnabon.com starting today, Tuesday, November 4, and you can order a pair of wrapping paper rolls for $8.99 (plus shipping) while supplies last. And don’t worry for a second about having to choose a color: Every order of Cinnabon Scented Wrapping Paper includes one of each. Cinnabon’s announcement also advised that the first 100 orders will receive free shipping. However, every order will include a 20-percent off coupon for multi-roll CinnaPacks, redeemable through rewards accounts at Cinnabon and Schlotzky’s locations nationwide.

Because let’s face it: Just like at the mall, once you smell a Cinnabon roll, you’re going to want one.
