The New Girl Scout Cookie Is Just Like Brownie Brittle
Caramel-topped Adventurefuls promise to take fans on a flavor journey in the 2022 season.

The Girl Scouts are getting a head start on the 2022 season in a major way! Today, Girl Scouts of the USA kicked off the countdown to the upcoming cookie season by announcing a brand-new addition to the sweet bunch — Adventurefuls.
A representative for Girl Scouts of the USA tells Food Network that Adventurefuls absolutely live up to their name. The new treats are brownie-inspired cookies “with caramel-flavored creme and a hint of sea salt.”
Food Network Editor Maggie Wong snagged an early taste of some Adventurefuls and they deliver. “They’re just like brownie brittle with a little something extra,” she said. “They’ve got the satisfying crunch of brittle and the rich, chocolatey flavor of a brownie, topped off with a gooey, indulgent pool of caramel. It’s loaded with lots of flavors and textures in a single bite.”

As you may have guessed, the new cookie’s moniker is no accident, since “Adventurefuls take cookie lovers on a delicious taste adventure just like Girl Scouts go on their own amazing adventures through the program.”
In 2022, Adventurefuls will join a crowded cookie lineup that already includes popular favorites such as Thin Mints and Samoas/Caramel deLites.
Adventurefuls are decidedly different from the new cookie of 2021 — Toast-Yay! — which was first announced nearly a year ago. “Each delightful, toast-shaped cookie is full of French toast flavor and flair and stamped with the trusted Girl Scouts’ signature trefoil on top,” the Girl Scouts explained at the time.
While there’s no word if these breakfast-inspired cookies will be returning in 2022, Girl Scout cookie fans will have no shortage of sweet treats to choose from.
As for how you can get your hands on Girl Scout cookies next year? That also remains to be seen. In 2021, because of the coronavirus pandemic, Girl Scouts began selling cookies online via Grubhub. The organization also launched the Girl Scout Cookie Finder to locate a local troop from which to purchase cookies via the Digital Cookie platform. The cookies were then delivered to your door or donated to first responders.
Gotta hand it to the Girl Scouts for being incredibly innovative!
