I Tried Taco Bell’s New $3 Menu, and I Was Seriously Impressed
The chain is launching a ‘Luxe Value Menu’ that lives up to its name.

“Luxe” and “value” might seem like mutually exclusive terms to many of us. Not to Taco Bell. The brand has just announced the nationwide debut of a new Luxe Value Menu — and I got an advance taste.
Set to arrive on January 22 — with early access for Taco Bell Rewards Members since January 6 — the new menu will launch with five new “elevated” creations alongside five existing “value favorites” to offer a “a variety of bold, craveable food options and brand-new innovations,” with options rotating in and out throughout the year.
Oh, and here’s the seriously impressive part: Every single item on Taco Bell’s new Luxe Value Menu is priced at $3 or less. So when they say “value,” they mean it.
I had a chance to taste all five new items on the Luxe Value Menu — so I can report that, when they say, “luxe,” they kind of mean that too. I was surprised that Taco Bell could find a way to offer these filling snacks — which can be mixed and matched to form a whole meal — at such affordable prices.
What is Taco Bell’s new Luxe Value Menu?
Billed as Taco Bell’s “next chapter of unparalleled value,” the Luxe Value Menu, which was first tested in Indianapolis in July 2025, is basically an evolution of its Cravings Value Menu.
“At Taco Bell, value has always been about delivering more — more flavor, more abundance, more options, more excitement,” Luis Restrepo, Taco Bell’s chief marketing officer, North America, says in a press release. “Through extensive fan testing and bold innovation, we created menu items that deliver an elevated experience at an accessible price point. This isn’t just a menu refresh, it’s a new standard for value at Taco Bell and across the industry.”

What new items are on Taco Bell’s Luxe Value Menu?
Items will rotate in and out throughout the year, but these are the five being offered first:
- Mini Taco Salad: Taco Bell promised this cute little take on a classic taco salad at Live Más Live 2025, and now it’s here. Priced at $2.49, the salad comes in a mini tortilla bowl and features seasoned beef, creamy Chipotle Sauce, cheddar cheese, lettuce, tomatoes and refried beans. I found it to be smoky, savory and creamy, with a nice, satisfying crunch from the crispy tortilla bowl. Super tasty and kind of nostalgic — it reminded me of the taco salad of my youth. I used my knife and fork to eat it, but I noticed the guy next to me just picked up the whole thing with his hands and hoovered it. You do you.
- Beefy Potato Loaded Griller: This warm and tasty pocket features seasoned beef, crispy potato bites, nacho cheese sauce, creamy Chipotle Sauce and reduced-fat sour cream —“all wrapped up and grilled to eat on-the-go.” About six inches long (and customizable, of course, in typical Taco Bell style), this one was comforting, also smoky and just the right amount of spicy. The potatoes were plentiful and especially yummy. Definite thumbs up, especially for a price of $2.49.
- Chips & Nacho Supreme Dip: Also $2.49, this layered dip features seasoned beef, refried beans, nacho cheese sauce, reduced-fat sour cream, pico de gallo and Taco Bell’s “three-cheese blend.” It comes with a generous supply of tortilla chips, ready for scooping. I liked how the warmth of the beans was balanced out by the coolness of the tomatoes in the pico de Gallo and sour cream — and the way the cheese melted as I ate it. Yum.
- Avocado Ranch Chicken Stacker: For $2.99, you get grilled white-meat chicken, Avocado Ranch Sauce, three-cheese blend, lettuce and tomatoes “folded, grilled, and ready to enjoy wherever you are.” I confess I found it a little bland on its own. This menu item cries out for a sauce, which, in retrospect, I should have tried on it. Next time.
- Salted Caramel Churros: The only limited-time-only item on the new menu — and the only new dessert — these cute mini churros measure maybe two inches long and are served three to an order. Sink your teeth into them and you’ll notice a soft inside within a crispy outer layer dusted with salted caramel sugar. And in the very middle, they’re all sweet cream. They’ll delight Taco Bell fans who have a serious sweet tooth, but may be a bit much for those who don’t. Oh, and they’re priced at $1.99.
What returning items will be offered on Taco Bell’s Luxe Value Menu?
In addition to the five new menu items, the new menu will include five returning value favorites — also all priced below $3. These are the Cheesy Roll Up ($1.19), Spicy Potato Soft Taco ($1.29), Cheesy Bean and Rice Burrito ($1.49), 3 Cheese Chicken Flatbread Melt ($2.29) and Cheesy Double Beef Burrito ($2.79).

What else is Taco Bell doing for the Luxe Value Menu launch?
Taco Bell Rewards Members get first dibs on the new menu via the Taco Bell app. If you’re a Rewards Member, you can order now.
On January 27, Taco Bell’s Tuesday Drops will give 30,000 Taco Bell Rewards Members a chance to get a new Luxe Value Menu item for $1 exclusively via the app, at 5 p.m. Eastern Standard Time. The deal will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.
And Taco Bell Rewards Members in Southern California can reserve a spot in an “immersive drive-through” tasting of the new menu at a location in Los Angeles.
The chain says it encourages Rewards Members to watch out for a Resy link that will be sent to emails for this elevated drive-through tasting experience — to be held on January 14 and 15 only.
