In Lieu of Its Usual Valentine’s Day Reservations, White Castle Is Offering Love Birds the ‘Love Cube’
Get a to-go version of fast-food romance.

You know how White Castle usually does a whole kitschy-cute romantic-dinner thing for Valentine’s Day, where couples make reservations in advance to dine in at the fast-food chain?
Most years, for that day only, diners at the Sliders-serving destination are seated by a host or hostess at cloth-covered tables, get waited on and enjoy their square-shaped burgers and sides in a dimly lit atmosphere decorated with holiday-appropriate red, pink and white hearts and flowers.
The high-low-brow Valentine’s Day hoopla at White Castle has been happening since 1991. And yeah, it’s pretty sweet.
“Valentine's Day dinner at White Castle has been an important tradition for so many of our customers. Year in and out, we’re thrilled to be able to bring the experience to life in new and memorable ways,” Jamie Richardson, vice president at White Castle, said in a statement.
Sadly, due to the current COVID-19 surge, White Castle has called a halt to its usual Valentine’s Day dine-in festivities this year. But don’t despair, Sliders fans, the chain is still offering its customers a way to celebrate the holiday a la White Castle.
The chain is offering a Valentine’s Day-only “Love Cube” meal for two.
The holiday meal for two comes in a hot pink “Love Cube” and features eight Cheese Sliders, two small soft drinks and your choice of two sides suitable for sharing (because … sharing is caring, and it’s Valentine’s Day). The Cube will be available at participating locations nationwide only on February 14 and only while supplies last. You can purchase it either for delivery or carryout for $14.99 in all markets — except Louisville and Nashville, where, for unspecified reasons, it will cost $14.69.
Along with the “Love Cube,” which Richardson says is the chain’s “first-ever customizable meal for two,” White Castle is also introducing a new “dessert-on-a-stick” — a strawberry swirl cheesecake featuring a “delectable swirl of strawberry filling and a chocolate cookie crust” — especially for Valentine’s Day. If you prefer to stick to the tried-and-true, you can also order one of White Castle’s usual “desserts-on-a-stick:” fudge-dipped brownie or gooey butter cake.
Another White Castle Valentine’s Day offer to love: Free delivery through the chain’s delivery partners on orders of $15 or more on February 14. Plus, through April 17, members of White Castle’s “Craver Nation,” will save 20 percent on all mobile orders.
“We had hoped to take reservations this year, but out of an abundance of caution for the health and safety of our customers and team members, we decided the best thing to do is shift our focus to an experience that customers can take with them,” said Richardson. “Next year, though, we have every intention of bringing back the in-Castle dining for the biggest Valentine's Day yet!”
Something to look forward to, for sure.
