Valentines Day is quickly approaching, and you’re not alone if the sheer thought of having to make a special plan is stressing you out. Don’t fret, because some of your favorite chain restaurants have done all the work for you!
White Castle is the “Love Castle” for the 35th year in a row.
Perhaps a classic burger and fries are what you and your partner are craving instead. Back by popular demand, White Castle is the “Love Castle” at participating locations on February 14 only, from 4-9pm. You need to make a reservation through OpenTable to attend, because this is not your average fast-food experience.
The “Love Castle” has been a White Castle tradition for 35 years. Guests receive hostess seating and table-side service, with festive Valentine’s Day décor as ambience. Sliders, onion rings, and a milkshake — what could be more romantic?
Run to OpenTable and make your reservation, because if the excitement on Instagram is any indication, tables are filling up fast.
Dine upscale at Morton’s The Steakhouse with the Valentines Day Pre-Fixe Menu.
If you’re looking for classic, romantic dining experience, Morton’s The Steakhouse has a great option for you. Starting at $179 for two guests between February 6-15, choose from a selection of starters, an entrée, and a dessert to share at the table.
Some starter options include a selection of salads, Lobster Bisque soup, or Wagyu Beef Dumplings (at an extra cost). Choose from either a 28 oz. ‘Empire Cut’ Bone-In New York Strip or Twin Petite Lobster Tails (my personal favorite) as an entrée. Round out your meal with a Chocolate Layer Cake, Morton’s Legendary Hot Chocolate Cake, or a Crème Brûlée.
Of course, all the delicious butters and sauces are available to choose from, and the best part of any steak dinner, the accompaniments – baked potatoes, creamed spinach, mac and cheese, etc. – are an extra $10 a dish.
The limited edition “Love Bird” cocktail is on the menu, a mix of 1800 Cristalino tequila, Chambord raspberry liqueur, pineapple, and lime.
There’s also an option to add on a bottle of Flowers Chardonnay or Pinot Noir and lay a Red Rose on the table for an extra $99 – if that’s your speed.

Have a late night hot date with Insomnia Cookies.
Who says that a Valentine’s Day reservation needs to be for dinner? Insomnia Cookies is hosting the “Warm Cookies, Hot Date” pop-up event February 12-13 at select locations, for the late-night, sweet-tooth couples out there.
A reservation gets guaranteed seating for two, and a $30 pre-set menu of a 6-pack of cookies (3 Classic and 3 Deluxe, or Brookies in your choice of assorted flavors), 2 Milks, and melty Dip Flavors (Chocolate, Caramel, and White Chocolate).
The cookies available a limited time for Valentines Day are Red Velvet Chunk, Chocolate Covered Strawberry, Red Velvet Cookies ‘N Cream Brookie, and a Heart Cookie Cake in your choice of flavor —you can even add a cheeky center message!
If you prefer to take your warm cookies at home, or you simply missed out on that Hot Date reservation, the “Cookies with Benefits” 6-pack can be delivered straight to your doorstep. The new dip flavors are also included in the box. I am partial to Insomnia’s Chocolate Chunk and Snickerdoodle cookies; you cannot go wrong with the classics.
The icing on top of the (cookie) cake is an adorable mascot named Cherub Chunk, who is “taking over all bakeries on February 13 with a warm cookie 12-pack” in a themed gift box. The first 50 people to purchase a pack at each bakery will take home a plush keychain of Cherub Chunk.
Enjoy a 3-Course “Sweet Deal” at California Pizza Kitchen.
The “Sweet Deal for Two” is back at CPK from February 9-15 where diners can eat-in or takeout one starter, two entrees, and one dessert starting at $60.
Of course, a selection of heart-shaped pizzas are on the menu, but The Original BBQ Chicken Chopped Salad is a great choice for an entrée (I order it with extra dressing). Garlic Cream Fettuccine with Chicken and Cedar Plank Salmon is a bang for your buck, and start your meal with Chicken Lettuce Wraps or Spinach Artichoke Dip to share. Round out your lovely night with the classic CPK Butter Cake, or the new Churro Swirl and Upside Down Cheesecake.

A mocktail option, the Prickly Melon Rush (Red Bull Watermelon, prickly pear, lime juice, lemon lime soda) is also available.
