Our Place's New Tiny Cookware Line Is Absurdly Cute
I was charmed by the Tiny Always Pan and Tiny Perfect Pot.

I knew the Our Place Tiny Always Pan and Tiny Perfect Pot would be... well, tiny. But I wasn't prepared for just how small they would be. I unboxed my sample set after a long day, and when I realized the pan fit in the palm of my hand, I actually giggled.
What's in the new Our Place Tinies Collection?
Our Place, one of our favorite brands for nonstick and nontoxic cookware, just released a new line of mini cookware and dinnerware. The collection includes the Petite Perfect Pot, available on its own, and the Tiny Cookware Duo, which comes with the Tiny Always Pan and Tiny Perfect Pot. You can also buy all three items in a bundle. The Tinies line also includes a set of four Tiny Bowls and four Tiny Plates for things like condiments and garnishes.
"While most cookware is sized for a crowd, Our Place is celebrating the personal rituals that happen when it’s just you in the kitchen: frying one perfect egg, warming a cookie after dinner, or simmering a single portion of tomato soup," the brand says in a press release.
The Petite Pot is slightly bigger than the Tiny Perfect Pot. It holds 1.75 quarts, whereas the Tiny Perfect Pot holds just one. The pan measures 5.5 inches in diameter — even smaller than the brand's 2022 Tiny Cast Iron Always Pan. The Duo also comes with one lid that fits both the pot and the pan.

My honest review of Our Place's new Tiny Cookware Duo:
I had the pleasure of testing the Tiny Perfect Pot and Tiny Always Pan ahead of their launch.
Let's get it out of the way: No, they aren't very practical. There just isn't a ton you can do with cookware this toylike. The pan barely fit over the burner on my stove! (Precious.)
I fried a single egg in the pan as the press release suggested (as did my roommate). It was actually more convenient for this than a normal egg pan. It spoils you a little — it's the least possible amount of surface area to clean afterwards for when you really want low-effort cooking.

Then, stuck for ideas, I did heat up a single cookie in the pan. It only took a minute or two for the chocolate to melt. Not bad, but still longer than the five seconds I would've given it in the microwave. I do think it would be a good size for a proper (but small) skillet cookie, especially because the pan is oven safe up to 450 degrees Fahrenheit. Or perhaps a stack of small, perfectly round pancakes, if you could find a good way to flip them.
I didn't have a use for the tiny pot over the past few days, but I think it could be a good size for heating up a sauce or making simple syrup. My roommate made noodles in it, and that seemed to go over well.
All of this said, while slightly impractical, I just couldn't stop smiling any time I so much as looked at the pot or pan. Holding, washing or cooking with such tiny cookware feels so ridiculous that it's kind of impossible not to have fun. And if that's the kind of thing you'd get a kick out of, too, then I'd recommend asking for the Duo for your next birthday. You'll find ways to put it to use, I'm sure.
