The Wendy’s Frosty may be the most legendary of fast-food dessert options, but is it ready to become a breakfast food?
Breakfast for dinner has always been on trend – who doesn't love cereal or pancakes at the end of a rough day? – so why not explore the reverse? Kellogg’s Cereal and Wendy’s have partnered to create Kellogg’s Wendy’s Frosty Chocolatey Cereal.
Made up of chocolate-flavored marshmallow pieces mixed with crispy, cocoa-coated round cereal bites, the taste is supposed to be reminiscent of the Wendy’s Frosty experience. But can a bowl of cereal truly recreate the feeling of drinking in all that rich, chocolatey goodness? Guess we’re about to find out!
One exciting element of this new Frosty-inspired breakfast cereal is that there’s no need to visit a restaurant to get it. This new cereal will be available at nationwide retailers in December for a limited time with a suggested price of $3.99. As an added bonus, each box of cereal will also include an offer for a free small Frosty or Frosty-ccino with any Wendy’s app purchase. So that means even if this cereal doesn’t match up to a Frosty, you still get to have one anyway. That’s the kind of synergy we can get behind.
This isn’t the first time that Kellogg’s and Wendy’s have partnered on a project. Pringles, which is owned by Kellogg’s, has a flavor inspired by the Baconator, a Wendy’s sandwich.
