The Internet’s Favorite Mug is Finally Back In Stock Tomorrow
Set your alarm! It's sold out twice already.
There’s no denying we all have our prized kitchen tools. Sure, it seems inevitable to find a preferred bottle of olive oil or spatula, but a mug? No way. After all it’s just a mug. But a pottery company called East Fork created a mug that’s taking the Internet by storm. And it's back in stock starting April 4. (You'll want to get your hands on one quick — it's already sold out twice.)
Aptly named “The Mug,” East Fork’s iteration is being touted around the web as the only mug you’ll ever need — and it very well may be.
So what’s so great about this mug? We’re glad you asked. Made from locally sourced clay, each mug is shaped, glazed, and fired to perfection, resulting in a beautiful, chip-resistant cup. Not only is the vessel big enough for your extra large, morning coffee, but the durable ceramic walls make it possible to comfortably hold both a pipin’ hot cup of Joe or glass of ice water.
Speaking on holding this mug, East Fork concocted a large — yet surprisingly comfortable — handle — co-founder and CEO Alex Matisse says is designed to feel like an extension of your hand. And if the impeccable construction isn’t impressive enough, there’s no denying East Fork’s creation is a really beautiful mug. Available in a number of colors, there’s bound to be an option that’ll match your home.
It’s that perfect marriage of form and function that has everyone talking. Not only does East Fork’s mug have its own hashtag on social media (What else? #TheMug), but it also sold out multiple times. In fact, East Fork just relaunched the Mug last month — only for it to sell out (again!) a few days later.
So that means your chances of getting your hands on the Mug are zero to none, right? Not quite.
Tomorrow, East Fork is relaunching the Mug in a number of beautiful, spring shades. We don’t expect they’ll stay in stock for long, so we recommend adding one (or two...or five…) to your cart, stat.
At $36, the Mug isn’t the cheapest option out there, but it’s well worth the investment. After all, if the hype is any indication, it may be the only one you’ll ever need.
