The Internet's Favorite Pottery Brand Just Launched A New Color
We're swooning over this perfect shade of pink.
We're always excited about anything from East Fork, but their new colorway has sent us head-over-heels. Rococo, the newest hue, launched today, inspired by "flushed cheeks in candlelight, filet mignon, bitten figs." It's an, "opulent, unapologetic pink" that's sure to add a cozy, colorful touch to your kitchen ... and a little extra warmth on cool winter days.
Even if you haven't heard of East Fork Pottery, you've probably seen pictures of their Internet-famous 'The Mug' on Instagram. And if you haven't, prepare to fall in love with the pottery brand, based in Asheville, North Carolina. East Fork uses locally sourced clay and hand-mixed glazes to create durable, beautiful and sustainable ceramic goods in a rainbow of colors — though right now, we're most intrigued by Rococo.
According to the company, 'Rococo' refers to an era of European art and music characterized by lightness, elegance, and ornamentation, as well as light, pastel colors. (Think: Sofia Coppola's 'Marie Antoinette.') After all ... no one really needs a pastel pink mug, but why wouldn't you want one?
East Forks' mug is iconic for a reason — the thick, chip-resistant ceramic can hold hot tea or cold coffee, and the handle is designed to feel like an extension of your own hand ... making for super-comfortable sipping. And, like all East Fork pottery, The Mug is dishwasher- and microwave-safe.
If you don't want to go full Rococo, opt for one of East Fork's bundles in the Neapolitan colorway. You'll get three bowls in different sizes, one each in Rococo, Morel and Panna Cotta. (These would be perfect for serving big-batch ice cream sundaes.... just saying.)
Or, commit to making this rosy pink hue part of your daily life with a complete set in Rococo. Here, you'll get one each of East Fork's Bitty bowl, ice cream bowl, soup bowl, popcorn bowl and mixing bowl.
