With many people staying home for much of 2020, everyone has been doing a whole lot more experimenting in the kitchen. This has led to an explosion of food trends on social media, from dalgona coffee to hot chocolate bombs.

Hot chocolate has always been popular as colder weather nears, and the TikTok chocolate bomb explosion sent this trend to another level. Users marveled at the chocolate balls breaking open, when put in contact with hot milk or water, to reveal marshmallows within.

The hot cocoa bombs are essentially edible bath bombs. And, of course, involve a steaming mug of hot milk instead of a hot bath.

The surging popularity of the hot chocolate bombs, as expected, led to them becoming increasingly hard to find. They sold out immediately in spots like Costco and Etsy and led to people even attempting to make homemade versions, to varying levels of success.

However, chocolate bombs just got a lot easier to add to a loved one’s holiday stocking. Thoughtfully, the brand that actually started the chocolate bomb craze, has a new version of the original favorite: Bombombs.

“We couldn’t be more delighted about the overwhelming success of Bombombs, as it not only underscores the joy of gift-giving and gift making but also celebrates the emotions and reactions when it brings about joy and celebration,” says Boaz Shonfeld, creator of the Bombombs, in a statement to media.

The gift set includes a pack of five hot chocolate bombs filled with marshmallows, with flavors ranging from Fudge Brownie to Caramel Candy. The set is selling for $19.99.

Of course, you can go on trying to make those bombs yourself at home. But hasn’t this year already been enough work?
