Burger King’s Cini Minis Are Finally Coming Back

Fast-food chains have a long history of breaking our hearts. It’s happened so many times over the years, when menu favorites are taken from our lives just as we start taking them for granted. Sometimes, like with KFC’s potato wedges or Taco Bell's Mexican Pizza, fans’ wishes come true and these items do eventually make a much-appreciated return.
Cini Minis are one of the sweet treats loved and lost at Burger King. These bite-sized cinnamon rolls came with icing for dipping, and while they were technically meant to be a dessert, they honestly were just as delicious for breakfast, paired with a steaming cup of coffee. But is dessert for breakfast (or breakfast for dessert) ever not a good idea?
Originally introduced in 1998, Cini Minis were discontinued in the 2010s but made some limited regional reappearances in the years since. But, as with many favorite fast-food menu items, Cini Minis’ large fan base demanded their permanent return. Someone even created a Change.org petition at one point.
"Cini-Minis were a large part of my childhood until Burger King chicken-stripped them away from me. Chicken fries aren’t even worth the hype (nor price); I demand they bring Cini-Minis back so I can once again enjoy the sweet miniature cinnamon rolls of goodness," reads the impassioned plea in the petition, which ultimately received nearly 7,000 signatures.
Fans are in luck. These bite-sized sweet pastries are finally coming back on August 26, while supplies last. And though it’s only for a limited time, they’ll be available — at last — nationwide.
The new Cini Minis will be priced at $2.99, but you can also get them as part of the $5 Duo and $7 Trio bundles. And if that doesn’t fulfill your cinnamon roll cravings, it’s a great excuse to try to make a batch at home.
