If you’re collecting signs of summer’s approach, here’s a new one. For this year and an untold number of summers hence, Sprite is bringing back Sprite + Tea, a drink it introduced for the first time last year. It’s making it an annual limited-time-only seasonal offering.
What is Sprite + Tea?
The beverage, which debuted in the United States and Canada in May 2025, was inspired by a viral trend in which people steeped tea bags in Sprite. Riffing on that “category-crossing” concept, Sprite + Tea offers “the crisp, lemon-lime refreshment of Sprite blended with the classically refreshing flavor of tea,” the brand says.
“We’re always listening to our consumers, but this particular phenomenon motivated us to explore how we could offer our own refreshing take on tea,” Kate Schaufelberger, brand director of Sprite North America, said in a statement last year. “Sprite fans love variety, not just in flavor but in the ways we bring refreshment to life through unique multisensorial experiences that stay true to the essence of the brand.”
Citing “proven success” and “popular demand,” the brand now says Sprite + Tea will return to store shelves — in both regular and zero sugar options — as a summer-only offering every summer for the foreseeable future. The amber-colored sparkling beverage, with its “smooth and refreshing balance of the complementary flavors,” will again come in green-and-gold bottles and cans.
Where and when can you get Sprite + Tea?
The returning beverage will be available through this summer starting today, Monday, May 18. Though the brand has not said exactly how long the limited-time offering will stick around this year, though last time Sprite + Tea remained on the market through October.
