Red Lobster Is Bringing Back Its Most Notorious Deal

Well, this is unexpected, and sure to please shrimp fans with bottomless stomachs: Red Lobster is bringing back its infamous Endless Shrimp deal.
For 20 years, the annual promotion was one of the brand’s hallmarks — but making it a permanent option in 2023 drove the chain to bankruptcy.
Now, the dangerously popular deal is back, this time with a few twists: It will be around only for a limited time. You’ll be able to order a new flavor. And the chain is reportedly bringing the promotion back at a higher price point, although it says “price and participation may vary” by location.
What is Red Lobster’s Endless Shrimp deal?
The promotion is pretty straightforward: Dine-in customers at participating Red Lobster locations across the United States and in Canada can order all-you-can-eat shrimp, prepared in five different ways. The shrimp dishes are also served with a choice of side.
The five options include four returning favorites: Shrimp Linguini Alfredo (“tender shrimp tossed in creamy Alfredo sauce over linguini”), Walt’s Favorite Shrimp (“hand-breaded, butterflied shrimp lightly fried and served with cocktail sauce”), Garlic Shrimp Scampi (“shrimp sautéed in a garlic and lemon butter sauce”) and Parrot Isle Coconut Shrimp (“hand-breaded jumbo coconut shrimp served with piña colada sauce”).
This time, Red Lobster is also offering a new option: Marry Me Shrimp, described as featuring “tender shrimp in a tomato cream sauce, topped with a garlic and herb crumble.”
Although Red Lobster has not shared an exact price for the new Endless Shrimp deal, numerous reports are saying $24.99 — a jump from the previous $20 price point. (Food Network has reached out to Red Lobster for clarification on pricing.)
Why did Red Lobster pull its Endless Shrimp deal?
The deal was great for customers — and too popular. Red Lobster pulled the promotion in 2024 after it drove big losses for the company. The Endless Shrimp promotion was a major factor in roughly $11 million in losses for the chain in the third quarter of 2023. It was also cited as a reason Red Lobster filed for bankruptcy and shuttered 130 restaurant locations.
Red Lobster’s current CEO, Damola Adamolekun, who took the reins of the company in August 2024, said then he had no intention of bringing Endless Shrimp back to menus. Apparently, he changed his mind.
Why is Red Lobster bringing back its Endless Shrimp deal now?
Red Lobster, which emerged from bankruptcy in September 2024 following a restructuring, says it’s bringing back the deal in response to customer demand.
"This is about putting our guests first and bringing back something they truly love," Adamolekun says in a statement. "Endless Shrimp has been a part of Red Lobster's legacy for 20 years and our guests have never stopped asking for it. We're excited to bring it back, for a limited time, in a way that works for our business today and honors what made it special from the beginning.”
When is Red Lobster’s Endless Shrimp deal coming back?
The dine-in-only deal landed back on Red Lobster menus at participating locations on Monday, April 20, and will remain there for an unspecified “limited time.”
Fine print: The deal is “Not available on holidays or for To Go, catering, or delivery” and "all shrimp flavors are subject to availability.”
