We’re all prone to exaggeration now and again. But if you’ve ever found yourself claiming to drink “buckets of iced coffee” once warm weather hits, your friends and family have a good reason to start taking you literally.

After a successful test run last February, Dunkin’ just announced the nationwide return of its viral Beverage Buckets, giant tubs ready to tote around the cold drink of your choosing.

When and where will Dunkin’ Beverage Buckets be available?

Dunkin’ will be releasing its second batch of Beverage Buckets nationwide on May 22, 2026. The launch will be extremely limited, as each store will only have 12 Beverage Buckets to sell for $12.99 each. Considering many Dunkin’ locations open in the wee hours of the early morning, you’ll probably want to set an alarm if you plan to score a one.

How big are Dunkin’ Beverage Buckets?

Dunkin’s buckets have a capacity of 48 ounces, meaning you’ll be getting the equivalent of two medium iced coffees or 1.5 large iced coffees. Speaking of capacity, Dunkin’s announcement says that the Beverage Buckets can be filled with either iced coffee or Refreshers drinks, and fully customized with add-ins like flavors, sweeteners, dairy or creamer and caffeine.

Whether that’s a good value or not is up to you, but I will point out that, at my local Dunkin’ at least, two black, medium iced coffees comes out to nearly $4 less than a Beverage Bucket, so you are paying for the novelty and collectible keepsake potential of the bucket (unless you really go all out with customizations).

What else is new at Dunkin'?

If you love iced coffee but miss out on the chance to bring home a Beverage Bucket (or you just don’t need that much iced coffee), Dunkin’ has another one-day-only event you should know about: Iced Coffee Day. For every iced coffee purchased on Wednesday, May 27, Dunkin’ will donate $1 to the Dunkin’ Joy in Childhood Foundation, “whose mission is to bring joy to kids battling hunger or illness.”

But if you need some inspiration for your bucket beverage, consider picking one of Dunkin’s new Limeade and Black Cherry Refreshers. Dunkin’ also recently released some other noteworthy items on its menu, including a coffee milk-infused Dirty Soda and a fleet of Oreo cookie–themed drinks, including Oreo Matcha Latte.
