KitchenAid's 2021 Color of the Year Is Here

KitchenAid is one of those brands making products that function as both vital pieces of cooking equipment and coveted kitchen decor. The variety of colors and iconic design make everything from the brand’s stand mixers to blenders items you actually want to allot countertop space to. But, your desire to showcase the gadgets also makes the color you’re choosing that much more important. This year, KitchenAid adds a new color, Honey, to their collection of products for 2021.

The brand describes this color as, “rich, uplifting and comforting”, noting that it has, “golden-orange undertones.” We think the orange tone seems to work year-round, adding a bit of brightness for summer while still feeling warm enough to fit in with your fall and winter decor. KitchenAid has also showcased the color’s ability to fit in with a variety of decor styles, including bohemian, mid-century modern, classic or eclectic homes.

As for the name inspiration, KitchenAid paid homage to honey’s ability to transform a dish — adding a bit of sweetness and depth of flavor to whatever food you pair it with. It seems that the same can be said for appliances in this year’s color. Starting today, you can find the new color on the brand’s iconic Artisan Series 5-Quart Stand Mixer and the K400 Blender on KitchenAid’s site.

In 2020, KitchenAid introduced Kyoto Glow as a color of the year and Passion Red and Birds of Paradise in years prior.
