I Tried Tom Brady's New Line of Coconut Water
The cheekily named release includes the first certified organic chocolate coconut water on the market.

When seven-time Super Bowl winning NFL champion Tom Brady announced he was launching a new line of coconut water, I was a bit surprised. I was even more surprised (and, honestly, a little skeptical) when I heard that one of the three flavors was a chocolate coconut water.
The brand, which is an expansion of Brady’s existing partnership with Gopuff, is cheekily named Good Nut, and includes Original, Sparkling, and Chocolate Coconut Waters all made from organic coconuts handpicked and sourced from Vietnam. Each flavor is completely free from artificial sweeteners and added sugars, making it a "premium alternative to over-processed sports drinks," according to an accompanying press release from the brand. The Chocolate variety is also said to be "the first and only certified organic chocolate coconut water on the market." Each flavor is exclusively available on Gopuff’s website and retails for $3.29 per can.

My honest review of Good Nut Coconut Water
The Original Coconut Water is your classic coconut water beverage, but it takes on a smoother, creamier texture. It has a stronger coconut flavor than I was expecting, but the taste did not disappoint. It tasted like liquid coconut, or what I would expect if I cracked open a coconut myself and stuck a straw in it.
The Sparkling Coconut Water has the same flavor as the Original, but I found it to be slightly more refreshing. The bubbles add a perfect contrast to the silkiness of the water, making it perfect for sipping on a hot day. Of the three, this one felt the most hydrating to me.
Finally, the one I was most nervous about: the Chocolate Coconut Water. Although I’ve never heard of anything like it before, I was pleasantly surprised! Rather than tasting like chocolate water, as was my fear, this variety was very similar in both flavor and texture to a delicious chocolate milk. The chocolate flavor was enhanced by the coconut presence, giving it a distinct creaminess. Despite being dairy-free, the drink reminded me of the chocolate milk I grew up drinking.
The final verdict
Overall, I liked all three Good Nut flavors for different reasons. The Sparkling Coconut Water was my favorite to drink solo, while I’m eager to try the Original and the Chocolate varieties mixed into smoothies and other drinks.
