4 ounces best quality bourbon
4 ounces apple brandy, such as Calvados
2 tablespoons maple syrup
Few dashes apple bitters, such as Bar Keep
8 ounces hard cider, cold
Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Add the bourbon, brandy, maple syrup and bitters. Shake until chilled, then strain into two tall glasses filled with ice. Top each glass with 4 ounces of the cider. Serve.
