Buddy the Elf’s favorite food groups are candy, candy canes, candy corn and syrup, and each one makes an appearance in this easy holiday white chocolate bark. Make sure to get maple flavoring — which is oil-based — as opposed to maple extract, which is alcohol-based and will cause the chocolate to seize.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Line a baking sheet with foil; flatten out the creases.
  2. Place all but 1 cup of the chopped white chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring with a rubber spatula, until melted, 3 to 4 minutes total. Immediately add the reserved chopped white chocolate to the bowl; stir vigorously until melted and shiny. Stir in the maple flavoring.
  3. Pour the white chocolate onto the prepared baking sheet; spread into a 10- to 12-inch rectangle, about 1/4 inch thick. Sprinkle evenly with the candy-coated chocolates, candy corn and candy canes. Let the bark harden completely at room temperature, about 1 hour (or refrigerate to harden, 30 minutes). Break into pieces.
