Zephyr Sangria

In 1820, Australia began its commercial production of ginger beer, a naturally sweetened, usually nonalcoholic soda that has been popping up in American bars and supermarkets over the past decade. It adds a slight kick to Zephyr's red sangria.

5 ounces pinot noir

7 ounces red vermouth

2 1/2 ounces cognac

1 1/4 ounces orange curaçao

5 ounces fresh orange juice

1 ounce lemonade

1 ounce ginger beer

Orange slices and grapes, for garnish


  1. Combine the pinot noir, vermouth, cognac, curaçao, orange juice, lemonade and ginger beer in a large pitcher. Let sit at least 2 hours or overnight.
  2. Add ice to the pitcher. Garnish each drink with orange slices and grapes.
