Guy Fieri invites three of the best sandwich makers on Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives to compete in a sandwich showdown. First, the chefs make a spicy sandwich using just nine ingredients or fewer. Then for a chance to earn up to $20,000, they build a stacked and jacked sandwich that includes the sammie whammies listed on the pins they don't knock down in a round of grocery bowl.
Guy Fieri's Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives buddies roll up to Guy's turf for a challenge of a lifetime. The chefs must first knock down crazy food pins to pick the ingredients to put between two buns! Next, they must make tacos after all the traditional taco ingredients are thrown out of the window in Un-Gredients. The final two chefs will go to their roots when Guy asks them to make a finer diner dinner using an item from both the high end and low-end food wheels.
Guy Fieri invites the finalists of the DDD All-Star Tournament back to compete for the Championship. The Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives chefs must first take on a game of stop-and-go as Guy dictates when and where the chefs can shop. Guy then asks them to make a lunch combo on a budget as decided by Grocery Bowling. Finally, the remaining chefs must make a deluxe diner dish with whammy ingredients chosen by the DDD Pyramid. It's a nail-biting final round you'll have to see to believe.
This trip Guy's heading out for some family cooking. In Minneapolis, a cafeteria/deli where the third generation's still cranking out the family's original, Eastern European sausage. In Kansas City, Mo., a soup 'n sandwich joint where a husband and wife are putting a twist on old favorites, like a red wine and cola marinated flank steak sandwich. And at a hot dog shack in West Virginia, two "Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives" enthusiasts make their 100th Triple D visit.
