Aldi Is Launching a Line of Ready-Made Meals

Aldi is launching its first-ever collection of ready-made meals. The seven protein-forward meals (five single-serve and two family-size) are expected to begin rolling into Aldi stores in select markets in early October, with nationwide availability anticipated by January 2027.
“Whether feeding the family at dinnertime or grabbing a quick lunch, the new collection delivers delicious, hassle-free options for when the last place you want to be is the kitchen,” the brand says.
What is Aldi’s new ready-made meal collection?
The meals in the debut collection promise to provide “restaurant-quality flavor and texture” and “satisfying portions,” are made with fresh ingredients, and are priced affordably. The single-serve meals are all under $8; the family-size meals are all under $15.
Anchored by elements including chicken breast, smoked beef brisket, cheeses and sauces, the meals in the collection deliver between 30 and 46 grams of protein in each single-serve meal and between 16 and 22 grams in each serving of a family-size meal.
The fresh (not frozen) meals are designed to offer convenience in addition to affordability and quality, and come in trays you can heat them in (some in the microwave, others in the oven).
”Our shoppers are looking for meals that fit into busy lives without sacrificing quality or stretching their budgets," Joan Kavanaugh, vice president of national buying at Aldi U.S., says in a press release. "We’re evolving to meet our shoppers where they are by delivering fresh ingredients, great flavor and unbeatable value that they can always expect from Aldi."
What are the meals in Aldi’s new ready-made meal collection?
The five single-serve meals are Beef Bolognese Spaghetti, Beef Brisket with White Mac & Cheese, Butter Chicken & Rice, Chicken Burrito Bowl and Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo. The two family-size meals are Chicken and Bacon Mac n’ Cheese and Meat Lovers Pizza Bake.
“We tested hundreds of recipes as we developed this collection, with quality as our top standard from the very beginning,” Terry Jackson, head of food at Aldi ready-made-meal supplier Kitchen Food Company, says. “We want every meal to hit the mark on bold flavor and stand-out ingredients, so even when time is short, shoppers can still look forward to what’s on the table.”
How can you get Aldi’s ready-made meal collection?
The meals will begin rolling out to select Aldi stores in early October and continue throughout the fall, with nationwide availability planned by January 2027.
