10 of Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson’s Craziest Cheat Meals

He really knows how to treat himself!

If you scroll through Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s Instagram, you’ll find plenty of fitness inspo. Seriously, he’s ripped! But The Rock is #goals for so much more than his mind-blowing workouts — he’s also legendary for the INSANE cheat meals he consumes every Sunday night ahead of his Monday sweat sessions.

The actor famously follows a rigid diet and fitness plan (while training for the movie Hercules (2014), he reportedly ate seven protein-packed meals per day), so his calorie-heavy cheat meals are well-earned. From stacks on stacks of pancakes to massive ice cream cookie sandwiches, here’s how The Rock treats himself on his days off.

12 Pancakes, 4 Pizzas and 21 Brownies

Yup. You read that right. After 172 days of a “strict & intense 7 meals a day diet” for the titular role of Hercules, The Rock indulged in a (as in singular, one) cheat meal to end all cheat meals. To start, he devoured 12 pancakes and followed with four double-dough pizzas. For dessert, he polished off 21 brownies, washed down with an entire stein of milk.

5 Pints of Ice Cream

In December 2019, The Rock celebrated the holiday season by chowing down on five pints of Salt & Straw ice cream. Now that’s one way to end the year!

Banana Chocolate Chip Pancakes and Tequila

These aren’t the pancakes you eat hungover at brunch. These are the pancakes you wish you could eat hungover at brunch. The Rock whipped up monster banana chocolate chip pancakes and ate them solo while all his friends went to a “very cool, glamorous Hollywood party.” Of course, he completed the stack with maple syrup, crunchy peanut butter and “a double shot of tequila on the side.” Sounds way more fun than any old party 😆.

5 Milk Chocolate and Salted Caramel Cookies

How many of these milk chocolate and salted caramel cookies do you think could you handle? Although 15 cookies are pictured, The Rock admits in the caption that he can only take down about five and the rest are given to his crew at work.

2 Bacon Cheeseburgers and a “Midnight Sugar Train”

Even The Rock gets late-night cravings. After a standard cheat meal of two bacon cheeseburgers, fries and a double shot of tequila, the actor squashed his sweet tooth with what he dubs a “midnight sugar train:” blondies, peanut butter cookies, chocolate chip cookies, double chocolate cookies and a big ol’ slice of cheesecake. All aboard!

6 Sushi Platters and a Plate of Cookies

As much as we’d love to join The Rock in polishing off this epic platter of sushi rolls, we’re not sure we could handle the huge “hunks” of wasabi mixed in his soy sauce (he shares he’s “proudly a sadist”). After finishing this spread, The Rock helped himself to an entire plate of cookies.

8 Slices of French Toast and Apple Pie

For Christmas 2016, The Rock gifted himself eight slices of sourdough French Toast topped with half an apple pie. Treat 👏 Yo 👏 Self 👏.

2 Turkey Subs and Fudge Brownies

What’s better than one giant turkey sub? How about TWO giant turkey subs with a plate of peanut butter fudge brownies for dessert?

2-Pound Steak with a Loaded Baked Potato

Nothing pairs with a big, juicy steak quite like a baked potato with all the fixings. For a cheat meal in June 2019, The Rock complemented his 33-ounce bone-in rib-eye with a whopping one-pound baked potato loaded with sour cream, butter, cheese, bacon and chives.

Chocolate Fudge Ice Cream “Sammich”

While this massive, plate-sized chocolate chip cookie and chocolate fudge ice cream sandwich look tasty, we’re a bit disappointed we didn’t get a peek at the second half of The Rock’s sugar-loaded cheat meal: a second ice cream sandwich plus a hulking slice of New York-style cheesecake.
