The Rock Celebrated His Birthday with Pounds of Chocolate

If you’re not already familiar with Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s epic cheat meals, it’s safe to say that you may be living, ahem, under a rock (sorry, not sorry). The actor is well known for both the intense workouts and over-the-top meals he shares on Instagram, which range from two-pound steaks to 21 brownies (with milk, of course). And, for his 49th birthday this week, The Rock indulged in what may be his strongest treat yet: pure chocolate dumbbells.

In a video shared to his Instagram, The Rock showed off “multiple pounds” of workout plates, made entirely from chocolate. Each plate features his nickname and a weight class, including 10-pound, 20-pound and 49-pound plates. There’s even a chocolate barbell, too!

In a follow-up video, pastry chef Amaury Guichon showed off the step-by-step process he used to make this stunning chocolate masterpiece, which included functioning bolts and screws. Though the chef has made everything from ferris wheels to telescopes, he said the chocolate dumbbells are “definitely my most realistic-looking piece” — and did a few bicep curls to prove it!

We have to admit, this is one workout we can 100% get behind. If you need us, we’ll be swapping all our dumbbells for chocolate — and sneaking in a few bites, too.
